i have a 1970 vw beetle standard with a solex carb., i rebuilt the carb., and now need to know the best way to adjust the throttle cable. do i depress the throttle pedal all the way and open the carb fullly and tighten at this point or what is the proper way? HELP....

I did not rebuild it personally, a friend of mine that was the service manager for a vw dealership back in the 70's and 80's and now teaches at the local junior college auto shop rebuilt it for me. I just wanted another opinion so i could try and adjust the cable myself as he is out of country for some time
