i have a 1970 vw beetle, i jusr rebuilt the solex carb, what is the best way to

I did not rebuild it personally, a friend of mine that was the service manager for a vw dealership back in the 70's and 80's and now teaches at the local junior college auto shop rebuilt it for me. I just wanted another opinion so i could try and adjust the cable myself as he is out of country for some time
