First try turning the steering wheel side to side while you try to turn the key, there could be pressure on the steering wheel lock. You probably need a locksmith to get the cylinder out, they do fail all the time but you might want to do some disassembly before drilling out if both the valet and regular keys aren't working. A problem in the ignition switch, or linkage in-between the cylinder and key might be occurring and that can also cause the key to not turn.
I did turn steering wheel side to side doesn't work. Don't think it is the ignition switch. A friend who lived with me used my car when i wasn't home. Had two keys one was bent this was the spare should of used the valet key. The key got stuck in the ignition and wouldn't come out, Broke key trying to get it out. Took car to mechanic got key out. After this happened the ignition would lock up maybe once a week but was able to turn ignition. Put lubricant in ignition cylinder think in January and didn't lock up until now Will call auto locksmith to come to house. Thank You and everyone else for your help!
Velet Key doesn't work either don't use it. Car has 71,000 miles on it think it is bad and needs drilled out. Want to know cost to do this and install new one and make new key.
There is a way to replace cylinder so that the same key can be used. The last time I had to drill a lock cylinder out it ran about $65.
