i agree with pat and iv had several of these with very small exhaust leaks. i rec you change the manifold if it is leaking. they are cheap and slightly more than just resurfacing them
The best way to stop this leak is by removing the entire intake and replacing the lower intake gasket and re-sealing with silicone on the front and back of where the intake rests. This could be what the dealer was mentioning when they told you about the bead of silicone that had to be used.
yes roy is correct all short cuts will cause you more problems.they also call it dished, the wear of the pads make the center of the rotor dish which causes the edge to get a lip on it.most cars you can turn the rotors and the lip will be gone. on certain cars ex. benz,bmw,saab,audi and a few others the rotors pads and sensors need to be replaced every brake job.if you don't this can cause others issues that will make it more costly in the long run.do it right the 1st time and save $ in the long run along with hours of down time.

usually the booster will make the pedal hard and you will at times hear a vac sound under the dash on drivers side.sounds like there is possibly air in the system or the master cyl cups are letting fluid by pass.ck all wheels for fluid on the inside of all 4 wheels or on backing plates.if not have it checked by your mech.

POSSIBLY AN AXLE BOOT THAT IS BAD AND THE GREASE IS STARTING TO SMELL WHEN IT HITS THE HOT ROTOR
