My gauges are not working properly and the service man from GMC said it was due to a wire shortage for the cluster. Does a fule gauge sending unit work along with the cluster? My warranty said they will not cover a cluster but my fule gage does not work along with the other gauges?????

A professional scanner can read actual fuel sending unit signal.. Can also test all gauges... These clusters give a right smart of trouble... Suspect failed cluster but suggest testing... Replacement gauge cluster available at most parts stores now.. Speedometer shop can repair.
if the warranty deal does not work out,which it probably won't,and it's most likely your stepper motors in the cluster that are bad(very common problem on GMC)there are several people on e-bay selling the set of 6 or 7 stepper motors and bulbs for less than $25.00.it's so common one guy has sold over 11,000 sets!or if not to good at soldering,then they also have a repair service,where you send your cluster to them,and they will repair it and return your cluster for less than $100.00.
