YES YOU DO, THEN PRY IT DOWN AND SWING STEERING KNUCKLE OUT OF THE WAY TO REMOVE AXLE. GOOD TIME TO HAVE A LITTLE HELP PRYING AND PULLING!!

yes but have some help cause it could take 3 hands to do this operation

And remember to pop the inboard joint loose from transaxle first with prybar or some other tool (that I can't remember the name of).
