Engine Overheating Due to Water Pump Leak on Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

The water pump may develop a coolant leak resulting in an engine overheating condition.

Replace the thermostat and the water pump, still having overheating and high idling problems...also the radiator fans weren't working. Replaced the temp sensor, fans stay off. Take the temp sensor out, fans kick in (?) Wondering if it's more electrical than mechanical and I'm looking into replacing the relays.
Water pump leaked onto serpentine belt making it not turn very well. New water pump and belt. All good.
