Some vehicles have a power steering hose that may rupture because of a manufacturing defect. If the hose ruptures, there would be a rapid loss of power steering fluid and power steering assist, increasing the risk of a crash.

We at RepairPal have designated this a high priority recall; the power steering hose may rupture without warning. Please contact your Volvo dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.

The bolts securing the cargo roof rails may be too short. When carrying roof cargo, the rails may come loose, increasing the risk of a crash.

Due to the low number of vehicles recalled and the fact that all owners of affected vehicles have been notified, this could be considered a low priority recall. If you have any questions, please contact your Volvo dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
