2008 Volvo S80 Recalls
The tire pressure information on the tire and loading label on the door frame may contain incorrect information about the maximum inflation pressure. Also, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) software may be calibrated incorrectly. This does not conform to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.
Software in one of the vehicle's computers may cause the engine not to start. In some cases the engine will start and only go a short distance before stalling. In some conditions, a crash could occur.
Engine temperature may rapidly rise without sufficient warning. The driver may not have sufficient time to react to the warning lights before engine failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
A software problem may cause the windshield wipers not to operate when switched on, or to activate when not switched on. Driving the vehicle in certain weather conditions without functioning windshield wipers can increase the risk of a crash.
The engine could stall due to excess engine movement caused by a broken engine mount bracket, increasing the risk of a crash.
