2004 Toyota Sequoia Recalls

When deployed due to a crash, the passenger front air bag can deploy with excessive force, causing debris and fragments to strike and injure occupants. 

Toyota will notify owners of affective vehicles (a notification timeline has not been released at the time of this writing). Additionally, you may contact your dealership to see if your vehicle is affected. The dealership may ask for your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), so please have it on hand when you contact them. The recall number is 14V-312.

Certain vehicles are being recalled because the passenger airbag inflator may rupture upon deployment. Vehicle occupants could be struck by metal fragments resulting in personal injury.

Toyota will begin notifying owners of affected vehicles beginning October 25, 2014. As of this writing General Motors has not yet released a notification schedule for Vibe models. If you don't receive notification in a timely manner and believe you should have, please contact your dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call.

Owners who have had recall 13V-133 completed should contact there dealer to see if further action is required.

Toyota will notify owners of affected Toyota and Lexus vehicles and General Motors will notify owners of affected Pontiac Vibe vehicles. As of this writing the manufactures have not released their owner notification schedules for this recall.

The front lower ball joint may wear prematurely, causing increased steering effort and possibly noise in the front suspension. If the vehicle is continually driven, the ball joint may separate and cause a loss of vehicle control.
