2005 Toyota RAV4 Recalls
When deployed due to a crash, the drivers side air bag may deploy abnormally, or the inflator can rupture. This could injure the driver.
Toyota will notify owners of affective vehicles in mid-July 2015. Additionally, you may contact your dealership to see if your vehicle is affected. The dealership may ask for your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), so please have it on hand when you contact them.
The load carrying capacity modification label may be missing.
This could be considered a medium priority recall; this would change to high if your vehicle is subject to carrying heavy loads. Please contact your Toyota dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
On 133 vehicles, certain airbag inflators were not assembled correctly and may not deploy as expected in the event of a crash.
Toyota, Scion, and Lexus will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning April 6, 2006. There are no symptoms related to this recall. If you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
