As of this writing the final remedy parts are not available for this recall. An interim repair is available and may have been performed as part of a previous recall. Owners are urged to get the interim repair completed and not wait for the final remedy parts to become available, please contact you dealer for further instructions. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. Owners will be mailed a notification letter in late March 2015 with a followup letter to be sent when the final remedy parts become available.
An electrical short may damage circuits in the supplemental restraint system which can result in the unintended deployment of the front air bags and / or front seat belt pretensioners.
Toyota notified owners of affected vehicles starting in May 2014. You can check with your dealer to see if your vehicle is involved in this program. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them.
