Problem Reports

2007 gmc yukon, dashboard cracked top left of passenger side airbag and on right side of hump over steering wheel. I called GMC and told them it was a serious safety issue as its seems like the dashboard is going to fall into the steering column and even make the air bag not function properly. GMC told me to take it to local dearler to check if it was accurate and not normal wear and tear. GMC is replacing it FREE of charge!!! Call them up 1800 462 8782 they are really great about the situation. It seems as they do not want to issue recall; just replacing as they come up. Only bad thing is that it takes all day to replace.

I also jus found out about the problem My wife says to me omg look and I'm like what she said the dash is cracked it wasn't like that last week when she washed the yukon I was I don't know ill look into it and now from the looks of it , it's the same crack everyone on here is talking about right on the upper left hand side of the passenger airbag ;( I'm going to call that number to see if if can get replaced I hope I don't have to pay out of pocket on this ill keep you guys posted

My Yukon I at the dealership getting handles replaced(they do for free because chrome handles peel and its hazardous) I contacted GMC and they've created a case number and will contact my dealership aswell as me to "resolve the issue".., it appears as if this is a common problem and a defect if the dash..I was thought it was something that just happens and maybe it just cracked. But when the dealership immediately offered me 1/2 price($971 total I would pay $500) I started researching recalls and defects. I called GMC and hopefully they'll take care of this, as they should. I'll post the outcome this afternoon..
