2012 Subaru Outback Recalls
The motor that operates the windshield wipers may overheat, causing the wiper operation to fail. This could result in decreased visibility and result in a crash. The wiper motor plastic cover could also melt, resulting in a fire hazard.
14 Legacy and Outback models are being recalled because the moonroof glass can loosen or come completely off while driving.
16 models are being recalled because the front wiper motor could overheat resulting in the bottom cover melting and possibility catching fire.
Certain Subaru vehicles equipped with a remote starting system are being recalled because if the remote is dropped, the engine may start unexpectedly and continue to run. Key fobs integrated on the vehicle key are not affected by this condition.
In the event of a crash, one or both of the side curtain airbags may not deploy.
On certain vehicles, the brake master cylinder can malfunction unexpectedly, resulting in increased brake pedal travel and stopping distance.
