Front axel boots are torn need to know how to replace them?
The noise is loud and yet I can't seem to pinpoint the location.
I just bought my 95 SAAB 9000 Griffin Edition a couple of weeks ago. The guy I bought it from said it needed a new radiator, and a heater core. I bought the new radiator, but before I buy a new heater core I want to make sure it needs a new heater core for sure. Alot of people have been saying that alot of the time it's the o-rings. Either way the guy I bought it from said the heater core was leaking into the car. When I looked at it, the hoses were cut... All in all I guess my question is, is does anyone know how to remove the heater core? Do I have to remove the dash, or anything from inside the car to take out the heater core. Or, can I just remove it from under the hood?
How do you replace the starter on a Saab 9000 2.3?
We have a 1995 Saab 9000CS with 193,000 miles on it. We were driving it today and noticed that the bottom of the drivers side windshield began fogging up. Then we could smell something burning that I thought might be oil. Smoke started comming out of the a/c vents and I did not have the a/c on as it was mild today, about 60 degrees. So I pulled over as quickly as possible and opened the hood. There was not smoke or steam in the engine compartment but the pipe with the valve flap at the end of it that extends out of the firewall had liquid pouring out of it. I thought it might be oil but discovered later that it was coolant. A large amount of liquid came out onto the pavement. It dripped right on top of what looked like the catalytic convertor or muffler. Our local mechanic did a head gasket replacement last week. Could this be related to that gasket replacement? The wrecker driver thought it might be the heater core. Why did it pour out of the pipe? Thank you, Doyle
What is the approximate cost(labor/parts) to replace an accessory Belt Tensioner. Car will run but gets hot and will stop. Also are there any other possible issues as a result of this issue that should be checked
Trying to change the thermostat, the 12mm housing bolt stripped so I can't remove the bolt with a 12mm rachet
There is a cylic raddling noise when the car is put in gear. I have isolated it to the driver side transaxle. I have a full replacement assembly. What do I look for when removing the old and replacing the new.
Engine starts after cranking for approx. 10 to 15 seconds.
This happsens only infrequently. After starting, engine runs normally (very smooth). Is this a fuel problem, or related?
occasionally takes 8 to 15 seconds of cranking before engins starts. Installed new battery 3 weeks ago. This"fault" started over a year ago, it doesen't happen very often.
I have to crank engine 15 to 20 seconds (not always) especially after a long period parked before engine starts.
