Honda Recalls 2006-2007 Civic Hybrid and CNG Models for Possible Brake Light Switch Failure

Electrical & Lights, October 2, 2007
Affected Cars

RepairPal Expert Overview

Summary:

Honda is recalling 2006-2007 Civic Hybrid and CNG models to address a concern about the excessive lubricant used for the telescoping steering column, which may drip onto and damage the brake light switch. If this happens, the brake lights could become inoperative and the shifter may not release from the "Park" position. Honda will replace the brake light switch and install a protective cover over the brake light switch free of charge.
