RepairPal Expert Overview
Brake fluid is kept in a reservoir under the hood. The reservoir has a cap to seal off the fluid, which keeps the fluid from getting any kind of contamination or debris into it. It is mandated that this cap have a brake fluid warning printed onto it. The reservoir caps equipped with this vehicle are missing part of the required warning, and therefore must be replaced.
We at RepairPal have designated this a medium priority recall. Please contact your Nissan dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
