On certain vehicles a vapor hose located in the fuel tank may not have been properly formed during the manufacturing process. When the vehicle is parked with a full tank, the fuel may travel into the vapor canister, causing it to overflow and spill fuel. This will lead to a fire hazard. Nissan will check to see if a poor seal exists, If one is found they will replace the tank free of charge.Campaign # 05V269000
Nissan will contact customers of affected vehicles beginning August 15, 2005. If you have not been contacted, see fuel leaking and think your vehicle falls under this recall. You should contact your local dealer. It is helpful to have your VIN Vehicle Identification Number ready when doing so.
