RepairPal's Assessment: Andy opened Fifth Gear Automotive in 1982 and has been serving the Broomfield area ever since. The shop moved into their brand new building at its current location in 2001. They have a very experienced team of five technicians who have an astonishing 100 years of experience between them. Combine this with their excellent tooling, factory level diagnostic equipment, and top-notch customer service, and you have the complete package. Fifth Gear is also AAA approved, a Bosch Authorized Service Center, and an emissions testing and repair facility.

Brandon, the owner, has assembled an experienced crew of individuals to meet your automotive and customer service needs. This shop values on going training, the management has attended customer service training, and the techncians are keeping up with their ongoing education as well. ASE Certificaiton is a big plus and although it is not required to be a Top Shop it is something that we weight heavily in our evaluation, 2 of the 3 staff members are ASE Certified, this is important because it shows a committment to staying current and a basic foundational knowledge of Automotive Repair. Overall we found Pickering Auto Service to fit nicely into our Top Shop program and feel they are well epuipped to meet your automotive needs.

We were very impressed by their integrity and ethics, as evidenced by their 2011 Golden Ethics Award and their 2012 Bill Daniels Ethics in Business Award. We were delighted to find their owner, Dana TePoel, has over 20 years of experience in the auto industry. This ASE Blue Seal shop (of which there are only about 1500 nationwide) is also AAA and BBB accredited, and provides state emissions testing. They have been serving the Westminster, CO area since 1992.

Norman has more than 23 years of automotive industry experience and is ASE Master Certified. This is a growing operation and he hopes to bring in another quality technician as soon as the time is right. This Top Shop does quality repairs and backs them up with a 12 Month 12,000 Mile warranty. Their amenities include rental car, early bird/after hours drop-off, and convenient Saturday business hours.

RepairPal's Assessment: Mountain View Garage is a good example of what we look for in a Top Shop. Sean Forest, the owner, has done a good job of putting Mountain View Garage on the map. He employs ASE Certified technicians provides them with the training they need to keep up to date, and equips them with the automotive tools and equipment needed to make professional repairs to your vehicle. These are all things we use to evaluate the foundation of our Top Shops. Sean has taken this further and he gives back to his community by providing free oil changes to senior citizens (conditions apply), and supporting various community organizations. Most recently Mountain View Garage was recognized by the City of Thorton as the "Best Business Citizen" for it's contributions to the community and was a runner up for the Best Green Business for it's efforts to recycle waste generated by the shop. Mountain View Garage is a member of our Top Shop network because this shop exceeds the technical qualifications require to be a part of our program, but Sean has made sure that his shop is a leader in his community.

Their owner Ken Rackley has over 22 years of experience and is an ASE certified master technician. Both of his technicians are also ASE certified and have 19 years combined experience. Their superb diagnostic tools and equipment are some of the best available and wilth all this it's no wonder they have the confidence to offer a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. They also are licensed by the state of Colorado to perform emissions repairs and offer local shuttle service to get you where you need to go.
