does not knock at idle just when acellurated
With the rear lights turned on, vehicle off, I am reading a voltage of 20vdc. I expected it to be 12vdc. Now I am not sure.
no compression on any cyl the car ran fine before i had them redone its a 3.1 engine do you think the valve lash is the problem? they put all new valves in and did a check on them so thats why i hope its the valve lash problem what do you think
They operate fine in back but not in front. As best as I can tell they do not light up or blink.
I did a full tune up on my 1991 Firebird Formula. plugs, wires, distributor, serpentine belt, fuel sensor. Now I have the check engine light comes on during normal driving when engine warms up and it loses power. Once I turn engine off and turn it back on it goes away as in reset mode then it happens all over again.
the top was going down at the time. I turned off the ignition and the smoke stopped. I restarted after a short time and returned to the garage with the top in mid travel.
Lost power while driving. Changed cam shaft sensor crank shaft sensor ignition module

I had the air conditioning unit professionally replaced the whole entire system ever since the engine will not properly Idol especially when the AC is on sometimes the throttle is real jerky the diagnostic system and check engine light says that there is a wiring issue I already clean the throttle body change the fuel filter did a full tune up and still did not fix the problem what should I do next?
When I took out the vss tranny fluid came out is that normal
Can i hotwire the fuel injectors or install a inline fuel pump.
Replaced plugs , plug wires and coil pack on light is still on Run good just idles a little rough What else can I try to fix the problem ?

when came out of store wouldn't start and coun=ldn't get it restarted for 10 hrs. now runs but is idling high also the radio has recently stopped working. has new battery

My 02 pontiac trans am ws6 LS1 was damaged by fire a few years ago and I've paid the price trying to find books,manuals,and such trying to hookup all the hoses that completely burned away. I've spent nearly 5 grand in replacing everything and I'm asking everyone I can on how to route the lines and wires. If you can help I would truely appreciate it. when i hook the light tester up to the positive and then the positive cable it still lights up, any wires on the starter i touch they light up. what could it be?
Should I check you check if the engine can turn over manually first, siphon the gas, change the battery and see if it runs. I will add and change the other things right after I just want to know what to do first before I do anything wrong.

I own a 1997 Pontiac Firebird V6 3.8 Liter.
I have replaced just the bracket 2 times now. The first time I replaced it was because the bracket snapped and same thing happend with the new bracket so I was fixing it yet again for a 3rd time. The 3rd time I changef the bracket and the A/C compressor and here I am 3 weeks after getting it fixed again the bracket snapped yet again. Can anyone help me?
Had been running, turned off one day then next day tried to start, starter did engage(turn) but the solenoid did not advance the gear to engage the flywheel. Pulled starter and had the entire assembly checked, came out OK. Changed the starter relay, still same problem. Battery is only 3Mo old and fully charged.
whiney noise. its an 86 2.8 ltr. bought as a fixer upper. not sure where to go from here has spark? and fuel? hard for me to tell because of the initial problem.
Took it to a repair shop and they said I need new lifters and a couple of the rocker arms are broken. Also in my radiator is sludge and clear water. I keep this car serviced. What happened? The repair shop says the entire engine must come out to get to the lifters?
Help! Can this be right? 2K?
