My car wants to pull to the right when breaking and has had some smoking from the right side . trying to figure out what may need i dont know much of anything about cars and this is my first car.
The reason for replacing break fluid is because I believe there is a leak in the break line. When applying the breaks , they go all the way to the floor and does not stop right away. What would the estimate be for that?
just replaced the head gasket and the water pump. water still streaming out at front corner of motor in the area of the new water pump.
DIDN'T START...NO SPARK...REPLACED COIL PACK...CRANKS BUT WON'T TURN OVER...GOT NEW PICK UP COIL YET TO BE INSTALLED... DISTRIBUTOR NEEDS TO BE DISASSEMBLED FOR SERVICE...CANNOT GET GEAR SHAFT OUT...WHAT'S THE SECRET?? WHAT AM I NOT DOING RIGHT??
what causes gaspeddle to stick it doesnt do it all the time but it happens very frequently
I was going to test my alternator and can't see the bolt on the other side. I was looking for a diagram online or a discussion or something and...nothing. Please, send me something on this.
Engine overheats when idling and while driving. Fan doesnt kick on.
I've looked at a Chilton book and Autozone on line repair, and neither of these two show me what I am looking at. The Autovone looks reversed and Chilton isn't even close.
I'v put four starters on this 1992 Ford Tempo in the last three months. Am I just buying bad starters or is there something bigger wrong?

How to remove suction low side hose from car it has spring lock couplings on one side.
So my alt.belt came off. I replace it. Then the wires connecting to the the alternator start melting and smoking. SO I replaced the plug. But again the wires and now the plug itself are melting ? What do I do - what is the cause of this ? Lets keep in mind I drive a tempo and money is an issue. Besides that the car has been excellent.
This car not always sometimes when warmed up sometimes cold it wont shift gears but if i turn the car off put it in neautral and start back it shifts.. The speedometer quit working as well.. I talked to a friend who said sounded like transmission module however ford said this is an ATX transmission ... Also i called a transmission shop and he said could be the rod from the fuel injection that goes to linkage the rod seems to be working fine to the naked eye.. However i look back towards the firewall and see the VSS that i was told it didnt have.. Help me please before i spend way to much money at a mechanic that is gonna fix the wrong problem and if it is the sensor for $25 I can fix myself
How do you take off the heater hose one end has a clamp I can take this off but on the other end it looks like it is a crimped metal ring like it was factory installed. How do you take off this end.

how can i change harmonic balancer ford tempo 1994
the car was idling for about 5 min and then died. i went the next day and replaced the cap and rotor plugs and wires. still nothing. I checked fuel pressure to the rail, no pressure. i popped off the fuel line going into the fuel filter and it was dry. i believe it is the fuel pump but i dont want to tell the owner that and it not be it. i tried reseting the fuel cutoff switch too. with no help. Is there a way to test the pump or is there other things it could be?
when i start the car it will stay running as long as i hold the key i let go of key it dies
i just had to change my heater core in my 85 ford tempo and right after changeing it the fan stopped blowing so i changed the motor and pluged it in and it still wont turn on
I have a 1991 ford tempo with 70,000 miles on it. I woke up one morning and it wouldnt start. I replaced the starter and now it still wont start. It is turning over AND making a clicking noise at the end of every turn over. What could this be?
Hi, we just took over a week to replace a ATX transmission with no computer controls, after all that it doing the same thing it was with the old tranny, wont move in any gear, when u put it in gear the axels are not spinning like theres something not senceing the axels and the tranny into gears. we put the car down on all 4 tires to check the axels and there fine. we did not replace the torque converter used the old one, have no idea if thats even an issue. and even though theres no computer contols could it be the brain or some other electrical, Please help, thank you
HI,We just replaced the tranny and had to just about remove the whole engine also, well got it done and know it wont start, we thing it the ground wire need to know where it goes. we mounted on the firewall and engine already and nothing, we think it might connect to the tranny somewhere, it was just so much work we didnt think to pay attention to that, also we had the starter tested and it fine. so if anyone knows where the battery ground go please let me know. and if there might be something else it could be. ok when i was driving the other day. my car started shaking really bad and i was smelling burning rubber. When I pulled over to check it out, I noticed that the wheel was cantered very badly, like it was about to wobble off the axle, its a front wheel drive, When I jacked it up to inspect, I noticed that the hub assembly was very loose. like i could move it in and out and all around, and the boot assembly was loose from the hub. Now does this mean I just need to replace the wheel hub assembly and the boot? And is it possible to do the work myself if i have the right tools?
how do i fix my horn when i cant find any horn relay?my car doesnt have cruise control so theres no speed control amplier that its with and i have a manual transmission.i know the horn works when hooked to battery but doesnt from steering wheel when pushed.how do i fix this?
I changed the filter and fluid...didnt smell burned or was not filled with any metal shavings...engine runs good...shift lever and PNP properly synced, but vehicle will not move when placed in D, 1, 2, or R. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Charles

1993 FORD TEMPO 4 CYL.2.3 ENGINE SERPENTINE BELT KEEPS JUMPING OFF . HAD THE HORMONIC BALANCER AND WATER PUMP REPLACED. STILL DOING THE SAME THING.CAR IS NOW MAKING A HUMMING NOISE ALSO, LIKE A FUEL PUMP BUT ITS COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE.I NEED HELP.
