Do you suggest tracing the leak or just use BLUEDEVIL transmission sealer? Just pours out when running and drips when off. Transmission not going in 1st smoothly but 2nd/3rd fine.


I had to disconnect the battery to turn them off

auto trans-very low mileage, won't shift into 2nd until around 25-30 MPH and into 3rd until around 50 MPH....RPMs are going crazy by that time.....just had a new filter and trans fluid replaced and they added a conditioner, no difference. Could it be the speed sensor or a vacuum problem?

Motor is running I can hear it..but the seat belt is not moving.

it slowly started to idle up one day at first thought it was just cause of ac running in 100+ temps within 4 days it idled 3000-4000 rpms especially at stop lights first second then 3rd now 4th when in 5th gear seemed to run fine.now I am afraid to drive even in 5th with high idle. we have replaced the air flow sensor, checked the vaccuum leaks for leaks disconnected battery and tried adjusting the idle to no avail. the check engine light is not on and has not come on at all. what else should we be looking at? we removed the intake hose and for a minute it idled down to normal but as soon as we put our finger over it it idled right back up to 3000-4000 rpms. Help single mother of 3 plus gbaby and only mode of transportation to work.

Transmission filter was changed, since the replacement, car will only shift into first gear and reverse.

st gear could it be a vacumn hose

car shifts fine most all the time and then out of the blue it wont shift right? fliud is new and filter, dip stick shows full.

i have line it up with the oil pump and made the correct adjustment but it keep breking why?

Hi. My tempo recently had a wiggly speedometer needle and then a few days later while driving the dial went to zero, stayed at zero and the car was stuck in first gear and wouldn't shift out of first. I looked at all the cabling and everything looked good to me but the problem remained so I took it to a transmission shop and he said everything looked good but it was missing a grommet which he replaced.

We picked up the car yesterday and experienced the same problem again. when the car heats up, say after going 5 or 6 miles the speedometer hits zero and won't shift out of first.

Anyone have any clue what could be the cause and how expensive it is to repair? Thank you

how do I take it out? the heater doesn't work and it is not the fuse. so I need to replace it

I just put a new fuel pump on and line is clear. Worked fine and then had to replace the starter. After replacing the starter it would not pump fuel again.

The secound axle popped out at a traffic light and i could not put it in park because the transmission was running. So worried about my trans being damaged. Had it towed there and they put a longer one in.My starter and ball joints went bad too.Please tell me if I will have more problems because of there wrong doing ?

Starter operates correctly most of the time. Once in a while all electrical works but no click, no start. 10 minutes later starts right up. what could cause this?

a mechanic said he couldnot align because the motor mount was broken

maintained and tuned-up.

Attempted too start car. Key turned toward start position but starter did nothing. Ingnition lock froze toward the start position. I do not know if the lock is in the run position. Lock does not turn, in any direction, and the key will not disengage from the lock. I read where all ford automobile ingnitions are serviced in the run position. I pulled the locked cylinder and replaced it with new FORD MOTORCRAFT lock and tumbler assembly (sw-2423). The new key and lock still will not turn and remains fixed as before. I read where the problem may be with the actuator rod? I removed all dash panels and the new ignition lock. I'm now at the point where it's necessary to unbolt the steering column to access the ignition switch and actuator. I'm concerned about reassembly of the steering column and its alignment - is there any danger that alignment issues may arise both with steering column and actuator?

Have juice at Jack but fan dead. Aftermarket one is too expesive

The car will run great except if I drive it a long
distance and then it will simply shut off while driving it
and won't restart til the next morning.

I have power to yello wire /no power to white /black wire/ and no power to green/red wire, and wire to battery is ok

i am filling brake fluid about every 3 days

i believe the starter is jammed , tried to start on a clod morning and she cranked a little then stopped , since then i just get a thunk when i turn the key, think its is from the starter

My car would jump out of gear while driving and I could pull over put it in park shut the car off then restart and have no more problems. The last time that happened it was like the transmission got stuck in low gear and won't change out. I was told that it was possibly the computer shift module, what is that?

Should we check the fuses or the light bulbs?
