It is not uncommon or the power window motor and/or regulator to fail. In most cases the door panel will require removal to determine the exact failure.

my power window switch intermittently works - sometimes I can get the window up with no problems and sometimes i actually have to turn the car off and then back on to get the window to respond

Hello to everyone I would like to share with you all what I found a few days ago. I find the same problem is happening to me like all of you as well. Happening the passenger door window control does not respond either from my door controls panel or the proper passenger control knob, what I do in matter to make it work iI have to push a little down to open or close as suppose to be.
So I kind of know what I have to do to see if this will need a major repair or something, good luck to all

Rolled the drivers power window down one morning and it would not go back up. Checked fuse. It was o.k. Removed door panel and checked for voltage at the switch. Voltage was present as was ground. Disconnected switch and put jumper wires across window motor wiring both ways. No response from motor. Replaced motor. One problem was when I went to buy the motor, I could only get the motor with the regulator. Now I have a new regulator in the box stored in my shed with a bad motor.
