Porsche Boxster S recalls

For Models: Porsche 911 Turbo, Porsche Boxster, Porsche Boxster S, Porsche Cayman, Porsche Cayman S

Body, Interior & Misc., August 3, 2011

RepairPal Expert Overview:

The mounting holes in the seat belt anchor plates may be too small. If the hole diameter is too small, the anchor cannot rotate around the fastening bolt as designed. If this were to occur, the seat belt may not be routed optimally around the seat occupant, or it may loosen at some point, increasing the risk of injury during a crash. Dealers will inspect the anchor plates and fastening screws and, if necessary, replace the seat belt. The Porsche recall number is AB02.

For Models: Porsche Boxster S

Body, Interior & Misc., April 30, 2010

RepairPal Expert Overview:

On 2011 Boxsters with a convertible top, the locking hook at the front of the soft top should securely engage the top of the windshield frame when the soft top is closed. 9 Spyder models are being recalling because the soft top may not latch correctly to the windshield frame. As a result the soft top could open unexpectedly while driving at higher speeds, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace both the locking hook and lock catch with redesigned parts to correct this concern.
