Report: Noise From Top of Front/Rear Doors When Windows Are Fully Up
BMW 325i Problem
Model Years Affected: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005
Average Mileage: 55,866 mi (19,000 mi - 75,000 mi)
A creak or squeak can be heard from the top of the front or rear doors. This noise is most noticeable when the windows are fully up. The noise is caused by the decay of the flocking material on the door seals. New door seals, Teflon tape, special lube, or a combination of all of these may be needed to eliminate the noise.

Noise from top of front door. The cause seams to be dryness of the door seals. It was corrected by applying, several times, silicone spray to the door seals. I used Valvoline silicone spray.

Definitely hearing creaking or squeaking from top of front & rear doors when windows are fully up when vehicle is moving. Very noticible when vehicle goes over bumps or driveways. Will have to look into replacing seals around doors.

This car is the noisiest car I've ever had as far as wind noise. It sounds as if the window isn't all the way up..yet it is. One of so many frustrating little issues..
