A creak or squeak can be heard from the top of the front or rear doors. This noise is most noticeable when the windows are fully up. The noise is caused by the decay of the flocking material on the door seals. New door seals, Teflon tape, special lube, or a combination of all of these may be needed to eliminate the noise.

Creaking coming from doors and side air bag compartment in front cabin only. Dessert BMW in Las Vegas made it sound like I was crazy and said they couldn’t hear anything. This attitude from the this specific dealer is not uncommon. They frequently miss important symptoms before major work needs to be done. Took the car to Irvine BMW who immediately identified and fixed the problem with special sealant.
This has happened on both of my last BMW 2006 545 and 2008 550. Have had it with taking the car in repeatedly and it starts creaking again in like a week...guess thats what I get for $1100 a month? Dealership Fields Lakeland has not been easy to work with, they almost act like it is all in my head, now they offered me $1000 and will roll my currecnt lease payoff into a new vehicle payment...what a joke...getting ready to contact an attorney!
