Volvo 960 "No Start" and Check Engine Light Due to Gear Position Sensor Failure

(7 reports)

The gear position sensor on the transmission may fail, resulting in illumination of the Check Engine Light and/or a no start condition.

Gear position sensor had to be replaced. Initially, we got by with shaking the gear selector around a little, but eventually, it went completely out, with flashing lights all over the dash and the check engine light lit. -
