An electrical short may develop underneath the interior carpet on the driver's side of the vehicle, due to moisture and salt seeping through the carpet. This could result in a vehicle fire.

Recalls on your Nissan must be performed by a Nissan dealership. Nissan began notifying known owners of affected vehicles beginning in 2015. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Nissan dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

The heart of the steering system is the steering gear. This gear has a cover on it that may come loose due to a loose fastener. If this occurs, steering control may be lost.

We at RepairPal have designated this a medium priority recall; this would change to high if any problems are noted with steering the vehicle. Please contact your Nissan dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
