then restarts no problem

The fob sometimes turns it off by locking and unlocking quickly, but then it just goes off again. I tried the middle console switch also, sometimes works but as soon as I get out and shut the door it goes off again! Last night it did it every hour or so and I found that starting the car stopped it, weird! Turned it off, closed the door and didn't even touch the fob and 15 mins later, here we go again! Had to disengage the battery finally. What could be causing this? Could it just be a code that needs to be reset?? Please help! Neighbors not happy!

we have changed the fuel pump but still the car start and shut off

I park outside. I tried warming up the car a couple of days later and it ran fine. Now it has done it again. What's up.

Hello . I have an ML 55AMG - 2000 - its in limp mode - no reverse lights - the speedometer shakes at start up - the gear display is blank - and the shifter isnt coming out of park. The OBDII code I got is P0720.

The car still goes into reverse but can't get out of the lower gear. I press the over ride with a pen to shift out of park.

I started my car this morning and there is a loud noise or pump that is staying on after the car has been started and when it is shut down.
The noise seems to be some type of electrical pump near the left front of the engine.
I disengaged the battery cable and then reengaged the cable and the pump continues.
Any suggestions???

It didn't star couple times I went to place to chick it but they told me it don't have any problems ??

On jan 24 2014 I purchased my ML 55.I recently replaced batteries. Does not lock or unlock or turn on/off alarm.

Rear washer stopped working, washer pump at reservoir
is working and will pump fluid, line appears to be plugged, tried low air pressure in line up to 50 Psi. Found parts schematic which shows check valve in line but does not give any indication where it is located. Dealer said they did not know but would attempt to repair for $ 90 / hour. Said it might cost $ 500.00 + and would not quote ultimate cost.

Have you or anyone experienced issues with your A/C with this type of model? I had own my vehicle since 2005. Never had to place feron in it until 04/2011. During that time it was checked for leaks and was informed that everything was perfect. Anyhow, I took my vehicle to a Mercedes dealership in Orlando since I was informed it is considered a classic and all of my cost will be 1/2 price and I needed my service B completed. Literally, less than 2 weeks my A/C stops working in 01/2012. Took it back to the same Mercedes dealership in 03/12 b/c now it is getting hot outside. They inspected it, found no leaks, supposedly recharged and placed 1.7 lbs of feron in the vehicle, and dye. Get this...in 2 weeks, my vehicle was blowing hot air. Yesterday, 03/26/12, took it back to mercedes dealership, they claimed no trace of leaks or electrical problem, but I have an exp. valve that is leaking the feron. This valve is visible to the naked eye, yet they were not able to spot this significant problem before Strangely, I didn't see any yellow coloring from that area of the value or anywhere underneath the hood as they demonstated. Only dark oily substance around the valve, which they claimed caused the leaks. Is it me, b/c that doesn't make sense. Any one with this model experienced A/C problems that could give me some advice? Thanks!

I agree with your comment b/c I also own the same limited edition that still looks and run well. Speaking of issues...Have you or anyone experienced issues with your A/C with this type of model? I cannot get the rear brake rotor to break loose. Is there something like an emergancy break holding it on. I can't find any kind of adjustment for the emergancy brake that I know of. Another car I had had a star adjuster on the internal drum emergancy brake. I don't see anything like that on this one.

Steering wheel is hard to turn.
