OVERVIEW

*Note - This is a general guide to what is performed on your GM vehicle. Inspections and procedures will vary depending on your specific model

GM recommends the Maintenance I service is performed when :

• The "Change Oil Soon" message comes on within 10 months of the vehicle purchase
• Maintenance II was the last service performed

During Maintenance I the following services are performed:

• Change the engine oil and filter
• Reset oil life system
• Visually Inspect the vehicle for leaks or damage
• Inspect engine air cleaner filter – replace as needed
• Rotate tires and check inflation pressures and wear
• Perform brake system inspection
  
• Check engine coolant and windshield washer fluid levels – add fluid as needed
• Perform any needed additional services - see below

During the life of your vehicle, other services will need to be performed on your vehicle during the Maintenance I and II services, and these services are based on time and mileage.

25,000 Miles/75,000 Miles/125,000 Miles

• Inspection of the Fuel System for damage or leaks
• Inspection of the Exhaust System for loose or damaged components

50,000 Miles

• Replacement of the Engine Air Filter
• Inspection of the Fuel System for damage or leaks
• Inspection of the Exhaust System for loose or damaged components
• Change the Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter  (Severe Service - see below)
  

100,000 Miles

• Replacement of the Engine Air Filter
• Change the Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter
• Replace Spark Plugs and Inspect Ignition Wires
• Inspection of the Fuel System for damage or leaks
• Inspection of the Exhaust System for loose or damaged components

150,000 Miles

• Replacement of the Engine Air Filter
• Replace Engine Coolant
• Inspection of Accessory Drive Belt - Replace if needed
• Inspection of the Fuel System for damage or leaks
• Inspection of the Exhaust System for loose or damaged components

Severe Service:
GM recommends more frequent changing of the automatic transaxle fluid and filter if the
vehicle is mainly driven under one or more of these conditions:

• In heavy city traffic where the outside temperature regularly reaches 90°F (32°C) or higher
• In hilly or mountainous terrain
• When doing frequent trailer towing
• Uses such as found in taxi, police or delivery service
