The hood may open unexpectedly while driving due to a secondary hood latch that fails to secure it. This could cause loss of visibility and vehicle control.
The front suspension lower control arms may fracture and separate from the vehicle if exposed to excessive road salt. This would result in a loss of vehicle control.
Loss of vehicle control can occur due to a broken front lower control arm.
Kia is recalling these vehicles because the stop light switch can fail resulting in loss of brake light operation and may experience other electrical concerns.
The stop lamp switch may fail, affecting numerous vehicle systems, many of which can increase the risk of a crash if they fail.
