Fuel gauge does not show proper level of fuel. I have run out of gas twice since I bought the vehicle in 2010. I have not fixed it, I just keep track of my mileage, and once I have driven 220 miles, I know it is about time to fill up. My mechanic said it would be costly to replace.

haven't fixed it yet becuase I just found out the fuel pressure regulator has gone out and I thought it was the fuel pump. Next step is the new fuel pump to fix the fuel level sensor with is in connection with the sender in the fuel pump.

Car ran fine then fuel gage went to full motor sputtered for a second then died cranks like a new battery would but no fire or fuel to throttle body.when it does this all functions lock up won't go out of park nothing.but if the fuel gage drops back down to its act. Level it starts and runs for about 20 min.then does the same thing.
erratic fuel guage levels
Waited until fuel pump went out at 125,000 miles. Fuel guage works again after pump replacement.
not fixed yet. have 148+++ miles on car and reset gallons used every fill up.
