It is common for the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank read the fuel level incorrectly. The sensor must be replaced to correct the condition. Our technicians recommend having the complete fuel pump module replaced on high mileage vehicles.

Fuel gauge will read normal first couple minutes after starting and then drop to empty and bring low fuel light on.

I have the same problem. My fuel light does not come on when I have been on empty before. Which causes my vehicle to stall or shut down or sometimes does not Start, even when there has been gas in my vehicle. My Service Engine Soon Light has recently came on. I recently took my vehicle in for an oil change and they told me the problems I'm having is related to the Fuel System/ Fuel pump Sensor. :( I just found out today, so my problem needs to be fixed!!! Especially since I have little ones, I don't want them to be breathing any gas or for myself and kids to break down on a busy hwy/road. :(
