Report: Front Windows Come Off Track Due to Broken Sash Brackets

The front window sash brackets may break causing the window to come off track. Our technicians tell us that new brackets are available and can be installed on the old window glass if it is not damaged.

I have a two door and under warranty have had both fixed and after warranty the passenger window does not work and the drivers window is off track and has to be held to go up and down. Shame on you GM.

About 3 years ago this happened to the passenger side window. THen last year the same thing happened to the driver's side window but the window was damaged and also had to be replaced. That same week the passenger side window (which had already been repaired once) also broke.

Bought a new window track online for 20 bucks.It came with the motor, but it was horrible. So I took the plastic white clips off the new and popped them on the old window bracket. Never had to remove anything from the car. Patience Patience Patience

My mounting tabs on my driver window broke in half! Both of them. Its not expensive to fix if you can do it yourself but it's difficult reaching the front tab.
