Report: Front Control Arm Bushings May Wear Out
Volvo S90 Problem
Model Years Affected: 1997, 1998
Average Mileage: 190,173 mi (135,347 mi - 245,000 mi)
The front control arm bushings wear out, resulting in alignment issues and squeaking and/or knocking noises from the front end. Worn bushings will require replacement.

obviously at high mileages, however the rear bushing of the front control arm were worn out at probably 130k or so, and the front bushing of the front control arm just gave out at 172k. replacement is about $300 per side that is affected for just the bushings. My mechanic got the part from volvo. The control arm itself is solid.

Lots of noise in front end--bumps etc.
Need to know if bushing only can be replaced and not complete control arm w bushings. Where is best place to purchase bushings if so.Flag ThisLike0
