Ford is recalling certain vehicles sold or currently registered in states where salt is used to de-ice the roads. Due to rust, the third row seat may not fully latch into is seating position.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified beginning March 27, 2013. If you experience problems latching the third row seat, or you don't received recall notification and you feel you should have, please contact your Ford dealer. On some models, the torque convertor output shaft can fail. As a result, the vehicle will suddenly have a complete loss of power.
Ford will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning in the second quarter of 2012. There are no symptoms related to this recall.
