2012 Ford E-350 Recalls
For vehicles modified with a Ricon wheelchair lift by New England Wheels, the wheelchair lift platform can crack and as a result separate from the lift and come to rest against the vehicle lift door. Additionally, the link arms of the lifts may have pivot holes that are too large, allowing the bearings to move out of position. Either concern would cause the platform to fall out of the vehicle when the door is opened. This would increase risk of injury.
For wheel chair lift equipped vehicles, the folding link arms of the wheel chair lift may have pivot holes that are too big, resulting in the risk of the wheel chair platform falling from the lift. This could result in occupant or operator injury.
On vehicles modified for use with wheel chairs, the wheel chair platform side plates may crack, causing the platform to separate from the wheel chair lift. This may cause injury to an occupant or lift operator.
