2011 Ford E-350 Recalls
On vehicles modified to accept a wheelchair lift, the platform for the wheelchair can crack and separate the lift. Dealers will replace any cracking platform and supply supplemental platform supports free of charge to correct the problem.
On vehicles converted by New England Wheels to handicap vehicle specifications, the platform side plate of installed wheelchair lifts may crack. Dealers will install support bumpers to resolve the concern, and repair any cracked side plates found during inspection free of charge to resolve the concern.
On vehicles equipped with a wheelchair lift installed by Elkhart Coach, the platform side plate of the lift can crack, resulting in a safety hazard. Dealers will install supplemental platform bumpers and replace any cracked platforms free of charge to resolve the concern.
Propane powered vans and wagons as modified by Roush may develop a propane fuel leak where the fuel line meets the fuel supply valve. Dealers will replace the aluminum fuel line fittings with stainless steel fittings free of charge to correct the problem.
For handicap conversion vans modified by Cummings Mobility, the Braun wheel chair lift may have latches that do not properly secure a wheel chair. Cummings Mobility will provide replacement parts free of charge to resolve the concern.
101 vehicles altered by Roush Racing to operate using the Roush Cleantech Propane Autogas may develop a fuel leak. This is due to improperly seated fuel injector retention clips. Fuel leaks always increase the risk of a fire. Roush will replace the retaining clips to correct this concern.
Approximately 4500 vehicles are being recalled because bubbles can form in the windshield if it is exposed to hot temperatures for an extended time. These bubbles can affect driver visibility, in increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect the windshield on affected vehicles and replace it as necessary to correct this concern.
Fifteen vehicles using the Roush liquid propane autogas fuel system may develop a propane leak. This condition is a result of a mis-machined valve in the propane system. A propane leak increases the risk of a fire. Roush will replace the defective valve with a correctly machined one. No notification schedule is available at this time.
On vehicles equipped with a power driver's seat, the seat track worm gear may fracture. This could result in unintended seat movement in the event of a crash or other case of severe loading, which may increase the risk of injury to the driver. Dealers will inspect the driver's seat track and replace it if necessary. This recall is scheduled to begin on May 2, 2011. The Ford recall number is 11C16.
