In vans converted for handicap wheelchair accommodation, the latches that secure the wheel chair in the wheel chair lift can fail due to bending and becoming misaligned. This can cause the wheelchair occupant to fall.

Braun, the manufacturer of the wheel chair lifts, contacted owners of affected vehicles.  The vehicle modification company, Cummings Mobility, is administering this recall, and may be contacted at 1-800-639-5438.  You may contact them to determine if your vehicle is covered by this program. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them.

Various exterior lights may not function as expected due to a faulty multi-function turn signal switch. This should not affect head light operation. Non-functioning exterior lights could increase the risk of a crash.

This should be considered a high priority recall. Exterior lights may stop working without warning. Please contact your Ford dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
