Report: Failure of AC Compressor Clutch
Kia Optima Problem
Average Mileage: 76,545 mi (42,000 mi - 142,000 mi)
A defective AC compressor clutch assembly can cause excessive noise or vibration when the air conditioning is on. Improved parts are available. Replacing the faulty clutch assembly does not necessitate replacement of the complete AC compressor or evacuation and recharging of the air conditioning system.

my clutch assembly won't engage. very loud squeeling noise.
Squeaky noise at the air conditioner clutch, not covered under extended warranty
Has started making a grinding noise so far only when the AC is on. It does not do it all the time yet but is getting more frequent. Will take to the dealer next week.
