Excessive engine noise after cold start on Hyundai Veracruz

Excessive engine noise may be noted after a cold start. If the engine oil level is correct this type of noise is commonly caused by faulty timing chain tensioners. Our technicians tell us that revised chain tensioners are available to correct this issue.

I am being told it is the Cam shaft and needs replacement - $3,600
engine noise on cold start.............dealer says not tensioner...............had car 2 weeks and no action...........waiting on Hyundai....................will go nose to nose on Tues and try to get answers........ this problem use to be a leaking valve guide.............went to dealer today......dealer will install new short block this week..........!!!!short block installed no charge.....nice............mechanic said it may have been caused by last oil change ran the engine briefly without any oil.........but can't be sure...................nice warranty job.........thumbs up to Allen Hyundai Gulfport MS
