2010 Dodge Grand Caravan Recalls
If the ignition key unexpectedly moves to the OFF or ACCESSORY position, the engine will turn off. This will depower various safety systems including but not limited to airbags, power steering, and power braking. Loss of functionality of these systems may increase the risk of crash and/or injury in the event of a crash. The weight of extra items on the ignition key ring can be a contributing factor to this unexpected occurrence. Until this recall is completed customers are advised to remove all other items from the ignition key ring. Dealers will modify the ignition switch to correct this concern.
The vent window switch on the driver's door armrest may overheat. Dealers will replace the vent window switch with a revised version free of charge to resolve the problem.
On vehicles modified for wheelchair accessibility by Freedom Motors Incorporated, the rear axle may crack and fail. Dealers will replace the affected axles free of charge to resolve the problem.
The ignition key could inadvertently rotate from the "run" to the "accessory" position, causing the engine to shut off without warning. If the engine shuts off while driving, vehicle performance will be affected, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the "WIN" module to correct this concern. The recall is expected to begin in April, 2011. The Chrysler recall number is L02.
