The vehicle air bags may not deploy in an accident, increasing risk of occupant injury.  Additionally, the air bags may deploy without need, increasing risk of a crash.

Chrysler and Volkswagen will notify owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact the appropriate local Dodge, Chrysler or Volkswagen dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

The ignition switch may unexpectedly move out of the run position turning off the engine. This can affect the operation of the airbag and other safety system. Until this recall is completed, all items, including the key fob (if applicable) should be removed from the ignition key ring.

As of this writing Chrysler has not yet released a notification schedule for this recall. If you don't receive notification in a timely manner and believe you should have, please contact your Chrysler dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The Chrysler recall number is L25. This is an expansion of recall L02.
