2000 Chevrolet Lumina Recalls
The seat belt buckles may not have been properly heat-treated during the manufacturing process. This may cause the buckles not to function correctly during a collision, which may cause injury. Dealers will replace the seat belt buckles.
The rear wheel spindles may loosen because the bolt heads that secure the spindles may separate. This may cause the rear wheels to shift, causing loss of vehicle control. Dealers will replace the rear wheel spindle bolts.
The fuel filler hose may leak where it clamps to the metal fill tube. This can cause a fuel leak, which can lead to a fire. Dealers will inspect the fuel hose fill clamp, and reposition and re-secure it as necessary.
The right front brake hose may be misrouted behind the brake line bracket, which may cause the hose to become damaged or restricted. This could result in a loss of braking pressure and function. Dealers will replace the hose and route it correctly.
The passenger side air bag inflator may have been manufactured with an undersized inflator orifice. An undersized orifice could cause the air bag to explode upon deployment. Dealers will replace the passenger side air bag module.
