2007 Chevrolet Equinox Recalls
Certain vehicles originally sold in, or currently registered in, the states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma, or Texas are being recalled because the plastic supply or return port on the fuel pump module may crack, resulting in a fuel leak. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire. Dealers will replace the fuel pump module to correct this concern. The General Motors recall number is 12190.
Protection from head injury may not be sufficient for vehicles not equipped with optional roof rail air bags or an optional sunroof. Dealers will install energy absorbing foam to each of the a-pillar trim assemblies free of charge to resolve the concern.
The passenger side air bag may be deactivated inadvertently due to a sensor malfunction that detects occupant weight. Dealers will reprogram the seat's electronic control unit free of charge to resolve the concern.
The windshield, side stationary glass and liftgate glass may have been installed using improper primer, which can result in the glass being insecure in a crash. Dealers will replace all affected glass free of charge to resolve the concern.
