In the event of a crash, the front passenger airbag may not deploy as expected.
The bolt securing the insulated battery cable connector at the trunk floor panel can loosen, causing increased electrical resistance and overheating of the cable connection.
The engine may stall in weather below freezing combined with low humidity. If the engine stalls, the driver may not be able to maintain speed or accelerate, and the power steering could fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
The lower rubber mount for the rear shock absorber may come loose from the shock. If this happens, the driver will experience impaired handling and control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
On 40 vehicles, a nut was not tightened to specification and could loosen over time. If the nuts loosen, vehicle handling and control could be compromised, increasing the risk of a crash.
On certain vehicles a bad transmission component may allow vehicle to move while in park. This may lead to vehicle roll away causing an accident.
