145 vehicles were assembled with a seam at the clutch that was not welded to specifications. This could lead to degraded performance of the clutch inside the gearbox. As a result, the clutch could fail without warning, disabling the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. This recall began on April 30, 2004. The Audi recall number is JA.
