Air Filter Replacement
Sometimes referred to as Air Filter, Air Filter Element
The air filter prevents dirt and debris from entering the engine, which could otherwise cause premature engine wear.

To replace the engine's air filter, it is removed from the air filter housing, the housing is cleaned, and the new air filter is installed.

Recommendations
We recommend considering replacement of the air filter every year or 12,000 to 15,000 miles.
Why this happens
If oil has contaminated the air filter, it should be replaced. Oil contamination may indicate a problem with the PCV system.
Air filters will need replacement more often in vehicles driven in dusty and sandy areas.
