brake and abs light comes on while im driving, i pull over turn off engine re-start and goes away, but lately is very often and it does not go away

After driving for either 1 mile or sometimes 18 miles the ABS and Brake light come on at the same time. Sometimes when I stop and turn off engine and re start the light stays off for awhile but usually comes back on.

2004 gmc safari all wheel drive-ABS LIGHT STAYS ON ALL OF THE TIME. BRAKES GO TO THE FLOOR ON OCCATION.
I AM WONDERING IF THEY WILL GO OUT COMPLETELY. DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE SHOP ON SEVERAL OCCATIONS AND IT HAS NOT HELPED.
