Only Fords,Mercury,Mazda,Lincoln,and maybe i missed one,but chevys dont have them.on the ones i listed,it's called an inertia switch or fuel pump cut off switch.in case there is a wreck/accident/fire the switch trips and cuts the power off going to the fuel pump from being hit or hitting someone,running in a pot hole,curb,etc...
