When should you replace spark plugs and wires.

they seem to doing the job but at some point they need to be replaced or how do you check them to see if there time has come. 98,000 on the vehicle. thanks

Don't grab them with your bare hands, ouch. Ten years is a long time, 20 is longer. It would be a good idea for age reasons to have the plugs and wires replaced.
